"Royal" vs. Eternal Royalty

It's a Boy!

Whose birth was paraded 100 days before he came?
Whose birth was promised 1000 years before he came?

Whose birth anticipated by millions?
Whose birth seemed like an inconvenience (great timing...journey to Bethlehem)?

Whose birth was announced to the whole world?
Whose birth was announced to a small group of men?

Whose birthplace buzzing with loyalty?
Whose birthplace visited by lower class citizens? (shepherds)

Whose birth added to the list of throne hopefuls?
Whose birth fulfilled the promise of a deliverer, someone who could rescue man from sin?

The first a "Royal" baby indeed.  A baby awaiting a name.
The second, my Savior, Jesus.  The man of  eternal Royalty.  The King of Kings, whose reign will never end.

Isaiah 9:6 promised, "For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders ; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

Matthew 1:21  "She will bear a Son ; and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins."
